With all the amazing news coming from Capcom at TGS and their impressive lineup of games coming out in the near future one might assume that the company is rolling in it right now. However, one would assume wrong. Capcom's annual report was recently released and it shows the company having its worst profits since 2004. (more)

Solatorobo preview: Robot trumps furry

Solatorobo: And Then to Coda for DS is kind of an unofficial sequel to the PlayStation furry/mech adventure Tail Concerto. It's apparently set in the same universe, featuring cameos from Tail Concerto characters. It's also developed by the same studio, CyberConnect2, which most recently made news for hooking up with Capcom on the weird Asura's Wrath. (more)

Study: Games can improve vision of adults with lazy eye

Kids with amblyopia, or "lazy eye" as it's commonly known, are familiar with the treatment/ritualistic torture of having a patch put over the good eye and being made to read, in order to strengthen the weaker eye. This doesn't work as well for adults with the condition -- unless they're playing video games while patched. (more)

New The 3rd Birthday site is cool, has trailer

Wednesday, September 29, 2010 4:44:49 AM GMT Monday, September 27, 2010 7:10:28 AM GMT
Square Enix has launched a Japanese site for the next game in the Parasite Eve series, The 3rd Birthday. If you've seen our hands-on with the PSP game you know that it isn't quite a true sequel to the Parasite Eve games, and takes the franchise in a pretty different direction gameplay wise. The site has a new trailer on it to check out that actually looks very promising overall. Everything is in Japanese so I can't understand a word of it, but I'm excited to see how this one is going to turn out. (more)

EA offering some compensation to APB customers

With Realtime Worlds' APB having met an early demise within a mere three months, some fans are (justifiably) upset that they invested fifty dollars into a game which they can no longer play. Efforts by some to be refunded by Steam seem to have been met with failure, but it seems as though Electronic Arts might be a little bit more sympathetic. (more)

It was a dark, albeit not that stormy, night as the "Future of PC Gaming (Yes, there is one!)" panel kicked off at PAX East around 10PM EST. Considering what the panelists had to say, the setting was oddly appropriate. Across the hour-long discussion, two things were abundantly clear. First, things need to change, and they're not going to do so overnight. Second, "Honestly, I think PC gaming isn't where it was ten years ago and it's never going to be there again." (more)

On both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Borderlands, it appears as though under certain multiplayer situations, you will lose all of your skill and proficiency points. It looks like this is primarily happens if you are in a multiplayer game and don't save before you quit. Particularly annoying for people who have leveled their character up pretty high...
