posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2401 days, 4 hours, 57 minutes ago
Sunday, April 24, 2011 8:54:40 AM GMT
Two Worlds publisher SouthPeak Interactive ended up in some hot water with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last November, when the government agency announced it would bring a civil injunction against the publisher's chairman, Terry Phillips. The reason for the SEC suit was SouthPeak's failure to properly document a loan given to the publisher by Phillips in early 2009. Rather than drag out the investigation, SouthPeak decided to settle with the SEC earlier this week on unspecified terms. (more)

If you're a Google user, you are more than likely familiar with the company's Suggest feature, which shows you a list of possible searches related to the keywords you've entered into the search bar. Though it seems obvious that this feature is automated and operates by displaying the most common searches related to what you've searched for, a French court has convicted Google of defamation after a user complained that his name had been associated with the terms 'rapist' and 'Satanist'. Split-screen gaming is always kind of a hassle. No matter how big your TV is things are always just kind of cramped when it's split down the middle. And don't even get us started on how distracting it can be to constantly be seeing what your friend is doing out of the corner of your eye. Aiming to take the split-screen out of multi-player gaming, Sony has filed a patent that uses stereoscopic video and glasses to show players different images on the same display. (more)
