Angry Birds Space is pretty successful guys

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2028 days, 23 hours, 19 minutes ago

According to Rovio's own blog, Angry Birds Space has just hit 50 million downloads in a little over a month. They also state that the game broke all of their previous sales records (which are probably mobile wide, and set by Rovio themselves), and is obviously a rip-roaring success. In addition to some earned boasting, the blog also hints that "something even bigger is on the way." Angry Birds Space Seasons, perhaps? (more)

Beamdog has announced the writer for all of that new content coming in the Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate: Dave Gross. A very experienced fantasy and D&D writer, Gross has worked for TSR in the past, as well as having written two Forgotten Realms novels. More recently, he says, he was "sitting in a coffee shop complaining about the lack of classic RPGs for the iPad, when [Beamdog's] Trent [Oster] appeared in a sulphurous cloud and said, 'Have I got a job for you.'" Gross will presumably work to up... (more)

It's taken a bit longer than we expected, but following Apple's acquisition of app search engine Chomp, the Android option has now been cut out from its homepage. We're now left with the choice between iPhone and iPad categories, alongside existing shortcuts for popular freebies and apps on sale, in a few efforts to cut through Cupertino's 600,000-strong app selection. Hit up the source to give it a run for yourself. (more)

Promise not to laugh, folks, because this one appears a bit camera shy: meet the HTC Incredible 4G for Verizon Wireless. The camera pod continues to exist as part of a larger protrusion on the back, which now sports a significant amount of texture. The number of capacitive buttons on the front has been reduced to three, with search now abse... (more)
