Seattle-based developer Spoon offers every browser you can think of, ranging from Internet Explorer 6 to Firefox 2 to Chrome 11 (okay, so there's no Netscape). Spoon even provides the new ones too like Firefox 9, Chrome 16 and Opera 11.60. The trick is that users aren't required to download and install the software locally. The Wikipad supports 2D and 3D content running on Android 4.0 and will be available with a game controller attachment, the manufacturer announced today. There is not much information about the hardware of this device, which is promised to go on sale this spring. However, Wikipad does note that it boasts a 8-inch screen with a 1080p resolution - 1920x1080 pixels would be quite impressive, if it proves true. (more)

I am not aware of any 3D GUI that has had sticking power and made an impact on the way we use a traditional computer today. Google, however, is apparently playing with an idea that would enable Chrome to work as a 3D environment, most likely in a version of Chrome OS. (more)

Revealed at IFA 2011 in Berlin earlier this week, Haier electronics has collaborated with Neurosky to create what they call a "Smart TV" that can be controlled via the brainwaves of its viewers. Expected to make its debut in China as early as this October, Haier and Neurosky's product will utilize Neurosky's EEG headsets in order to measure the brainwaves of users which are then used to control the television.
