A couple of weeks ago, there were rumours that Facebook was gearing up to launch a music service in conjunction with Spotify. On Friday, news emerged that Spotify was planning to make its U.S. debut in early July but no mention of Facebook was made. Sony Teases S1, S2 Tablets with Video

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2288 days, 6 hours, 54 minutes ago
Monday, June 20, 2011 8:56:37 AM GMT
Sony today released a teaser video in an attempt to drum up interest for its upcoming S1 and S2 tablet devices. However, though it’s nearly two minutes long, the video doesn’t exactly provide much in the way of new information about the tablets. Worst of all, it doesn’t even hint towards a more specific release date than the ever-vague ‘fall 2011’ we’ve been hearing from Sony. Ah, well, it is only episode one. Perhaps the next one will have more info on these Honeycomb tablets? (more)

One of the worst things about owning an Android device is waiting for the updates. Unless you’re lucky enough to be a Nexus One or Nexus S owner, you’re at the mercy of manufacturer and carrier. And then there’s the issue that with so many different handsets, your phone might not even be capable of running the latest version. (more)

Following in Android's footsteps, this new method will eliminate the current update bottleneck which forces users to manually upgrade to the next iOS build by connecting the devices to iTunes via a Mac or PC-based USB port.
