posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2220 days, 21 hours, 44 minutes ago
Tuesday, July 19, 2011 10:09:20 AM GMT
Maybe I'm just desperate for some happy Nintendo news on this bleak Monday night, but I'm actually feeling encouraged by this token gesture of acknowledgment for Nintendo of America. Ms. (or Mr.?) Sissy Barner of Nintendo of America is sending out typewritten, hand-signed letters to those who have sent the company written requests for them to localize The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, and Xenoblade. According to the letter, Sissy Barner "...can see why you want to see games like Xenoblade, The Last Story,... (more)

Here's an aspect of the 3DS Mega Man Legends 3 Project for which Capcom didn't consult fan input: the publisher has ceased development of both the game and the downloadable "Prototype Version." This marks the second (and third) Mega Man game to be canceled in 2011, following the death of Mega Man Universe in March. (more)

Verizon's Galaxy Tab 10.1 may pack Micro SIMs, force Charge owners to break out the scissors

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2220 days, 21 hours, 48 minutes ago

There were some mumblings that T-Mobile's OG Galaxy Tab would come packing a Micro SIM, but that rumor never came to pass. Now a similar tale is being spun about Verizon's LTE-sporting Galaxy Tab 10.1. Android Central got its green, fingerless arms on a purported image of Big Red training docs that reveals the Honeycomb slate will not use the standard-sized 4G SIMs found in the Thunderbolt, Droid Charge, Revolution -- instead, it will come stuffed with a tiny 3FF card. Nokia 'Sea Ray' WP7 handset revealed on a factory floor? (Video)

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2220 days, 21 hours, 48 minutes ago
Tuesday, July 19, 2011 10:05:17 AM GMT
Stephen Elop himself spilled the beans about Nokia's first WP7 handset, codenamed Sea Ray, when he told a large live audience and some whirring video cameras that he wanted the phone to be kept "super confidential." Now we have a whole new puddle of legumes lying on what sounds like a Chinese factory floor, courtesy of the authentic-looking video above. The clip reveals the N9-like device removed from what appears to be a stealth case, followed by a speedy boot-up into the Windows Phone OS. We're also tr... (more)

EOL Robot Band Rocks Out to Marilyn Manson

Robotic technology never ceases to amaze us, but we can't forget about those lingering thoughts of a terrifying robotic apocalypse. Take this EOL Robot Band for example, perfectly capable of performing an impressive cover of Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People". Now if it were a cover of Justin Bieber we may feel a bit less threatened, but if robots are possibly capable of capturing the controversial madness that is Marilyn Manson, we might be in trouble. Over the last week or so there's been a lot of news coverage regarding Google's new social networking venture, Google+. One topic in particular seems to be cropping up time and time again: the fact that the vast majority of G+ users are men. Some reports put the percentage of male users as high as 86 percent. However, it seems these numbers are not quite right. Entrepreneur Paul Allen moved to dispel the rumors last Friday with some research of his own and a few words about current stats. (more)

Metal Gear Solid 3D to have elements of MGS4 and MGS:PW

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2222 days, 7 minutes ago

There are a a lot of incredible 3DS games on the horizon (Super Mario, Luigi's Mansion 2, and hopefully Mega Man Legends 3 to name a few), but not many of them offer the same guarantee of quality as Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D (scheduled for release this November). It's easily my favorite game in the series, for its humor, its drama, and perhaps most of all, its genuine focus on survival. Instead of utilizing the healing factor system that's sneaked it's way into so many games of late (including Met... (more)
