Designed by Mac Funamizu, the Von Mobile Phone brings an innovative new way to perform simple phone tasks. With smartphones all becoming similarly advanced in technology and hardware, it has become difficult to call a new phone truly 'unique'. Modern phones and even conceptual phones focus on crowd pleasing technical features and hardware specifics, but Funamizu's phone takes a different approach. (more)

Kids and weird ladies are all up on Rhythm Heaven Wii

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2082 days, 21 hours, 20 minutes ago
Sunday, July 10, 2011 8:53:59 AM GMT
Rhythm Heaven Wii is about to be released in Japan, and marketing for the title is starting to pick up. We've already gotten a look at some of the game's 50+ levels, multi-player mode, and a endless games, but these TV spots show us a few more levels in greater detail. The "taking pictures of sweaty luchadors" level seems to be a big hit with the kids, and it looks like that vaguely androgynous middle aged woman really loves making those seals wiggle. (more)

When Need For Speed: The Run was premiered at EA’s E3 Press Conference back in June, it made quite an impression on the press and series fans. The one feature to stick out was the inclusion of the on foot sequences, which was seen as a bit tad irreverent from fans. (more)

Amazon Wins Right to Call App Store 'Appstore'

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2082 days, 21 hours, 25 minutes ago
Sunday, July 10, 2011 8:49:09 AM GMT
Back in March, Amazon launched its own version of the Android app store. Dubbed Amazon Appstore, the company's launch celebrations were cut short a week later when Apple filed a lawsuit against the company. Apple had already filed for a trademark on the term 'App Store' earlier in the year and though that application was being contested by Microsoft (Redmond says it's too generic a term to trademark). However, it seems Cupertino's own app store is doing just fine as the company today revealed that the 200 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users around the world have downloaded a grand total of 15 billion apps. Kingston Wi-Drive wireless storage for iOS review (video)

With nearly 350,000 apps and counting, the iPhone's maximum capacity of 32GB doesn't allow you to even scratch the surface of the App Store's catalog. Throw in an HD movie, some TV episodes, hundreds of tracks and a few thousand photos, and you'll be chewing through those available bytes in no time.
