Crytek announced a new "package" for Crysis 2 that will add compatibility with DirectX 11, which should improve the graphics significantly for people who are desperately looking for specific improvements that they know DirectX 11 can provide, and improve the graphics a little for everyone else too. Players of the PC version of Dungeon Siege 3 were disappointed with the keyboard-and-mouse controls used in the game, generally deciding that using an Xbox 360 controller was the way to go. If you're one of those folks, lead designer says Nathaniel Chapman says there's good news: Obsidian plans to release an update that will improve the traditional PC controls. Telltale Games has posted an online survey for gamers researching a little bit about your buying and playing habits, and in return for completing it, you can grab copies of the Tales of Monkey Island episodes 4 and 5 on WiiWare for free. Electrical engineer turned designer Ken Ouyang came up with the interesting idea to utilize an iPhone's two dimensional screen in conjunction with an external device to project gorgeous three dimensional color images. We've seen some pretty cool futuristic refrigerator concepts out there such as the self-cleaning fridge, and the cooking assistant fridge, but who knows how long we'll have to wait to be graced with some of their technological wonders. It might be awhile until we can rely on our refrigerators to clean themselves out and teach us how to cook but Samsung has brought us one step closer to high tech refrigerator awesomeness. (more)

FBI Downs Innocent Websites Looking for LulzSec

According to the report, the FBI seized web servers during a data center raid conducted early Tuesday morning. Owned by Switzerland-based DigitalOne, the server seizure inadvertently took down websites owned by the New York-based Curbed Network, Instapaper and "tens" more. (more)

Google TV 2.0 'Fishtank' developer kit revealed running Honeycomb and apps

As Google TV gears up for a Honeycomb-based v2.0, the team announced at the I/O event that developers could get access to "Fishtank" hardware for them to test their apps on and here it is, revealed by Geek.com. The hardware itself is a relatively nondescript box packing an Intel CE4100 processor (no ARM...yet) and a Logitech Revue wireless keyboard that connects wirelessly via a USB dongle, plus a few more ins and outs than retail boxes have including coax. Yesterday, the Sony NEX-C3 was the world's smallest interchangeable lens digital camera. It's not anymore. That title now belongs to the Pentax Q. To achieve the camera's incredibly small body size, Pentax had to shrink the sensor as well, making the Q not only the world's smallest interchangeable lens camera (ILC), but also the cam with the world's smallest sensor in an ILC. The Q uses a 12.4 megapixel, 1/2.3-inch backlit CMOS image sensor, manufactured by Sony (more)

The last thing I'd want to do is watch television on my 3DS, but it would be useful for a nation of people that are always on the move -- like Japan. Japanese 3DS will see the launch of the "Itsu no Ma ni Terebi" 3DS TV service this week. It's a collaboration between Nintendo, Fuji TV and Nippon TV, and it will be free through add support. An app for the service will pop up in the Japanese eShop starting tomorrow. (more)
