Runic Games' long-sought goal to port Torchlight to consoles will come to fruition when the game is released on Xbox Live Arcade as part of Microsoft's "House Party" promotion, beginning in mid-February. In November of 2003, a much younger Ubisoft was launching two high-profile (and excellent!) titles: the Montreal-developed reboot of the Prince of Persia series, subtitled "Sands of Time," and the Montpellier-developed Beyond Good & Evil, the supposed first installment in creator Michel Ancel's planned trilogy. By now, you know how this story goes. (more)

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 2384 days, 19 hours, 50 minutes ago
Sunday, January 09, 2011 8:51:58 AM GMT
One of the remaining questions about the 3DS hardware since its debut has been will it destroy your eyes how long will the batteries last? After all, DS hardware revisions have generally upped the battery capacity, even when increasing the size of the screens (the DSi XL claims up to 17 hours!) (more)

Although the game is only about a month away from its February 15 release, I know how you feel. It’s been 10 years since Marvel vs. Capcom 2 -- haven’t you waited long enough? Capcom (more)

I feel like all the sudden, my precious Earth Defense Force is going through some sort of renaissance. A few months ago, I was happily replaying the 360 version with one of my best friends in mad pursuit of the Genocide Gun, saying, "One of these days, maybe they'll make a sequel..." And then the next thing I know, there's a new game on the way, EDF 4 announced, a PSP version, and Earth Defense Force Legend for mobile phones. Wait a sec ... make that five! (more)

It looks like there is reason to suspect that the next Pikmin game could end up in 3D. In a recent roundtable discussion with Shigeru Miyamoto (Pikmin's creator), Shigesato Itoi (Earthbound's creator), Satoru Iwata (Nintendo President), the gang were all checking out the 3DS.
