Dust 514 Neocom is the proposed PS Vita tie-in for Dust 514. It enables players to interact with certain elements of the PS3 game – things like altering weapon loadouts, in-game purchasing and more. While there won't necessarily be any gameplay, developer CCP promises an interactive map of the universe that it hopes to "build upon" further down the road. (more)

gamescom: Charming, challenging new Ni no Kuni gameplay

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 1768 days, 11 hours, 10 minutes ago
Sunday, August 19, 2012 9:11:19 AM GMT
I first saw and played the game at Tokyo Game Show 2011, where I promptly fell in love it it. We were a bit iffy on whether it would be localized or not, but Namco Bandai gave us good news in early 2012, saying that we'd see a North American release before year's end. But they pushed it back to 2013 a few months later. (more)

Neo Aquarium is weird. That was all I knew about the game when I started it up. Well, that and the fact that it features crabs with lasers. No more needed to be known, I thought -- this was going to be wonderful. I should have known better; the sea only brings trouble. (more)

Details continue to surface regarding "Project Copernicus," the Kingdoms of Amalur MMO that once dominated development at Curt Schilling's now-defunct 38 Studios. We've seen an early trailer of the game and learned that it wasn't any fun to play, but Copernicus' more tangible bullet points, such as its pricing structure, have remained a mystery. (more)

Let's take a closer look at Splinter Cell: Blacklist

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 1769 days, 11 hours, 7 minutes ago
Saturday, August 18, 2012 9:14:19 AM GMT
Ubisoft's unveiling of Splinter Cell: Blacklist was undoubtedly one of my highlights from this year's E3. I remember watching the demo during Microsoft's conference, and how at one point I hyped up the game so much for myself that I began thinking, "Man, that tent flapping animation is amazing." So yeah, I'm pretty excited about this game. (more)

Fifty Shades of Grey got b*tch slapped by Hyrule Historia

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 1769 days, 11 hours, 8 minutes ago
Saturday, August 18, 2012 9:13:43 AM GMT
Just yesterday, we learned that the highly demanded Zelda bible Hyrule Historia is being localized for the US, UK, Australia, and certain other parts of Europe. I originally used the world "bible" because the book is a comprehensive compendium of Zelda lore. Now I'm starting to think that the religious connotation of the word "bible" is equally appropriate, because the book has just performed a miracle. (more)

I'm glad to see it's been gaining traction this week, because conceptually, the game seems ambitious -- especially for a small team -- but not overly so. That's UDK for you. (more)
