posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 1795 days, 18 hours, 32 minutes ago
Thursday, June 28, 2012 7:42:43 AM GMT
It feels like it was only yesterday that Mass Effect 3 producer Mike Gamble teased a new installment of DLC for the final game in BioWare's epic trilogy (oh wait, it was). Rather than wait for official word, some crafty folks from the BioWare Social Network cracked open the Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut DLC and found a file that may shed light on upcoming content for the game. Reportedly, what they found makes reference to a character by the name of "Leviathan." (more)

Project X Zone gets a release date, in Japan

posted by Pedro CubiasPedro Cubias 1795 days, 19 hours, 19 minutes ago
Thursday, June 28, 2012 6:55:17 AM GMT
"In Japan". Isn't that the worst phrase ever to see on a video game website? Not only is it an indicator that a possible western release is far away, but it doesn't even guarantee one in the first place. Anyways, all of you lucky Japanese residents will be able to enjoy Project X Zone, the cross collaborative 3DS strategy RPG from Namco Bandai, SEGA, and Capcom, on October 11th. (more)

Without a doubt, Renegade Kid totally killed it with Mutant Mudds earlier this year. With a simple, no-frills structure that struck a major chord with players, the eShop platformer was a sweet dose of purity in a genre that's struggling to maintain relevance in this modern gaming age. (more)

When there's a new movie on the horizon, Activision's usually on call to bring us the obligatory videogame tie-in. As is the creed of the obligatory videogame tie-in, the product is rushed, slapdash, visually unimpressive, and interactively vapid. It is the irrefutable law of such licensed products. It is a law you do not break. (more)

The folks who created the Resistance series, Insomniac Games, are no longer working on it. This much we know. But what of Sony? The Japanese publishing giant owns the intellectual property rights to the Resistance series – as evidenced by the recent release of Resistance: Burning Skies on Vita, developed by Nihilistic – but is it planning on any more series entries?
